What can move the estimate

The estimate treats each independently controlled indoor area as a zone and applies a broad equipment-and-installation range. It is deliberately not brand-specific. Real bids should identify model numbers, matched capacities, low-temperature performance when relevant, and the exact electrical scope.

  • Long or concealed line sets, condensate pumps, and exterior line-hide
  • Ceiling access, drywall or carpentry work, and safe equipment mounting
  • New circuits, disconnects, surge protection, or panel/service upgrades
  • Cold-climate equipment, premium controls, and extended labor coverage

More indoor heads are not automatically better. Oversized heads may cycle poorly and can struggle to dehumidify. Room-by-room loads and minimum output matter.

How was each head sized?

Request room loads and the selected unit’s minimum and maximum output.

Where does water go?

Confirm gravity drains or pumps, termination points, and maintenance access.

Who owns finish work?

Put wall penetrations, line-hide, paint, drywall, and cleanup in the scope.
